Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth. Brooksville Youth Academy in Brooksville, Florida, is a 72-bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility serving adolescent males ages 13–17. The program delivers trauma-informed mental health and substance abuse treatment in a structured therapeutic environment. Youth participate in individual, family, and group therapy, restorative justice programming, life skills development, vocational prep, and enrichment activities such as art, music, recreation, yoga, and equine therapy. Services are provided 24/7 in small group living units to support personal growth, family engagement, and successful reintegration into the community.
About the Role
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a key role in assessing, developing, and implementing individualized behavioral interventions to support youth in achieving emotional regulation, positive social behaviors, and treatment goals. The BCBA collaborates with clinical, educational, and residential staff to ensure behavior plans align with the therapeutic milieu and each youth’s overall treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide ongoing data analysis and program evaluation to ensure effectiveness of interventions.
- Train and support staff in implementing behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with therapists, educators, and administrators to integrate behavioral supports into all aspects of care.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with state regulations and agency policy.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to overall treatment planning.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field.
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required.
- Experience working with adolescents in residential, clinical, or educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Physical Demands
• Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable
• Able to actively engage with youth, participate in physical interventions, and transport youth or staff as needed
• Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state
• Must pass evaluation of physical techniques and certification exams
